1. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — your access and campaigns continue until then. We do not offer partial-period refunds on standard cancellations.

2. Statutory withdrawal right (EU Distance Selling Directive 2011/83/EU)

EU consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. However, Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU provides an exception for digital content and services where performance has begun with the consumer's explicit prior consent and acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal is lost.

By starting a ShotgunCV subscription, you explicitly consent to the immediate commencement of the Service and acknowledge that you thereby waive your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal. This waiver is presented clearly at the point of checkout and is required by EU law to be recorded. We process this waiver record as part of our legal obligation under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

3. Goodwill refunds

Although we are not obligated to offer refunds after the statutory withdrawal right has been waived, we consider refund requests case-by-case. We are likely to approve a refund where:

  • A technical fault on our side prevented the Service from functioning.
  • You were charged in error (e.g., duplicate charge, incorrect amount).
  • You contact us within 48 hours of your first charge and have not yet launched a campaign.

To request a refund, email support@shotguncv.com with your account email and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

4. Billing errors

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, contact us immediately at support@shotguncv.com. Confirmed billing errors are refunded in full within 5-10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

5. Pro-rated refunds

ShotgunCV does not offer pro-rated refunds for unused days within a billing period on standard cancellation. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access until the period ends.

6. Free trial

Where a free trial is available, no charge is made during the trial period. You may cancel before the trial ends at no cost. At the end of the trial, your subscription begins and the terms in Section 2 apply.
